Hey, it’s Jen—and welcome back to Take Your Gummies.
So. December.
The most festive, overloaded, sugar-coated, mentally exhausting month of the year.
It’s giving... burnout in a sparkly outfit.
And listen, I love the holidays. I love twinkly lights and cheese boards and bad movies with people pretending to fall in love in small snowy towns.
But I do not love the pressure to be everywhere, do everything, and stay cheerful while my energy is secretly tanking.
Let’s be real—December is kind of chaos.
It’s calendar invites. It’s group texts. It’s trying to finish projects at work while also figuring out if you remembered to buy your cousin a gift.
And it’s usually paired with less sleep, more sugar, and the slow unraveling of your nervous system.
So today, I want to talk about how we get through this month without losing our minds.
First, let’s stop pretending we can do it all.
You do not have to say yes to everything. You are allowed to leave the group chat on read. You’re allowed to reschedule plans. You’re even allowed to do absolutely nothing and feel zero guilt about it.
Then, find the little rituals that make you feel human again.
Maybe it’s lighting a candle in the morning before your inbox attacks you.
Maybe it’s putting your phone in airplane mode after eight.
Maybe it’s keeping a pouch of Debloat Gummies in your bag because every holiday meal hits just a little too hard.
Also—don’t underestimate the basics.
Eat food that’s not just sugar. Sleep as much as you can. Move your body in small ways. I’m talking stretch-in-your-bedroom kind of movement, not sign-up-for-bootcamp.
And hydrate. Like, actually drink water—not just seasonal lattes with whipped cream and sprinkles.
The point is: you don’t need to overhaul your life. You just need to find little anchors in your day that remind you that you matter too.
Because your energy isn’t infinite. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Or host a holiday party from an emotional dungeon.
So if this season is already starting to feel like too much—pause.
Take a breath. Take your gummies. And come back to yourself.
You’re allowed to protect your peace, even when everything around you is telling you to give more.
I promise, you’re doing enough.
See you next Monday.
