Hey, it’s Jen—and welcome back to Take Your Gummies.
Alright. Today we’re talking about spring-cleaning.
And no, not your closet.
Not that weird corner of your hallway where winter boots go to die.
Not the kitchen drawer full of takeout menus and mystery batteries.
I’m talking about internal spring-cleaning.
The kind that has nothing to do with vacuum attachments and everything to do with clearing out the heaviness you’ve been dragging around since January.
Maybe even since last year.
Spring always gets marketed as this huge reawakening.
The flowers bloom.
The sunlight lasts an hour longer.
Everyone suddenly talks about “fresh starts” and “reviving routines.”
Your timeline fills with people deep-cleaning their homes like they’re auditioning for a reality show hosted by Martha Stewart.
And while I love a vibe shift—I really do—I also know that trying to overhaul your entire life because the weather finally stopped being rude is a fast track to May burnout.
So instead of flipping your whole world upside down, I want to talk about the kind of spring-cleaning that actually sticks.
The internal kind.
The subtle kind.
The kind that doesn’t end in frustration or three bags of half-finished projects sitting by your front door.
Internal spring-cleaning is about your habits.
Your rituals, gut, mental clutter and energy.
It’s about airing out the parts of you that feel cramped or stale.
It’s about noticing what’s weighing you down and gently loosening your grip.
Think of it like opening a window inside your own brain.
Fresh air.
Soft light.
A little space to breathe again.
Here’s what I do whenever winter leaves me feeling sluggish and emotionally velcroed to my couch.
First—movement.
Not punishment movement.
Not transformation movement.
Gentle movement.
The kind your body actually appreciates.
Like going outside for a walk with no intention other than listening to a playlist that makes you feel like the main character of a coming-of-age movie.
Or stretching in the morning while the kettle heats up.
Or rolling your shoulders back because you’ve been hunching like someone who has seen too many emails.
It’s the soft awakening.
The slow thawing.
Your way of saying, “Hey, we’re waking back up. No rush.”
Second—digestion.
Winter eating is cozy, delicious, and… let’s be honest… chaotic.
Heavy foods, random snacks, dessert on a Tuesday, less water than you meant to drink.
It all adds up.
So this is the season when I bring back my Debloat Gummies with intention.
Two a day, watermelon-apple flavor, about twenty minutes after a meal.
ACV, green tea, dandelion, buchu leaf—they work together in a way that feels like your gut finally exhaling.
Not a detox.
Not a cleanse.
Just support.
A gentle assist to help your body feel like itself again.
Because nothing ruins a spring moment like feeling puffy, sluggish, or stuck inside your own stomach.
Third—rituals.
Not routines.
Not reinventions.
Rituals.
The small, easy things that shift your energy without demanding a personality transplant.
Lighting a candle before you open your laptop.
That moment when the flame catches and the room feels a little softer?
That counts.
Making lemon water because it tastes bright, not because a TikTok told you it would cleanse your soul.
That counts.
Opening your blinds the second you wake up so your room fills with light, even if you’re still half-asleep and wrapped in blankets.
That counts.
Unfollowing accounts that make you feel like you’re failing because your kitchen doesn’t look like a showroom.
That counts too.
Internal spring-cleaning is about choosing what nourishes you and letting the rest fall away like dust you’re done carrying.
And then—there’s the emotional declutter.
The part no one teaches you how to do.
Asking yourself what you’re holding onto that doesn’t belong to you anymore.
Expectations you inherited from people who don’t live your life.
Old habits that once made sense but don’t anymore.
Pressure to be different, better, more organized, more productive, more… something.
Spring-cleaning your life isn’t about adding more.
It’s about releasing the stuff you didn’t realize was taking up space.
I think that’s the real glow-up.
The real refresh.
Not rearranging your closet—
Rearranging your energy.
And yes, while you’re doing all of this, you can also wash your sheets.
Put away your heavy coat.
Open the windows.
Let your home smell like air instead of winter.
But don’t forget your body in the process.
Take your gummies.
Support your digestion.
Refresh your nervous system.
Wake up slowly instead of dramatically.
Because the glow-up doesn’t start in your closet.
It starts in your gut.
In your breath.
In the way you treat yourself on a random Tuesday afternoon.
Internal spring-cleaning is not glamorous.
It’s not aesthetic.
It’s not going to look cute on your Instagram story.
But it works.
It lasts.
It makes your life feel lighter in the places that matter.
So this season?
Clear space.
Make room.
Let yourself feel new on the inside.
See you next Monday.
